WHAT IS YOUTH ANZAAS?

Youth ANZAAS is an annual residential scientific forum attended by students from Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 in Australian schools and is organised by the Australian & New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science (ANZAAS).

Students are accommodated in facilities allowing a social aspect to the academic proceeding of the conference. There is normally a full three-day programme of talks, demonstrations, visits and lectures from scientists regarded as eminent or leaders in their field of research.

All events are under the supervision of at least two qualified personnel together with volunteers from ANZAAS. Consumption of alcohol or smoking are not permitted at any time during Youth ANZAAS. Clothing is casual wear, [not school uniform] except for the Conference dinner when a formal standard of dress is expected.
