The Inaugural Diana Temple Memorial Lecture was hosted by The Bosch Institute, The University of Sydney as part of its Distinguished Seminar Series in conjunction with the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science (ANZAAS) and the Women in Science Enquiry Network (WISENET) on Friday, 19 October, 2007, 1:00 - 2:00pm in the Education Lecture Theatre 351, Education Building, The University of Sydney.
Professor Judy Black, AO, spoke on the topic "Nothing else is important when you can't breathe!"
Professor Black is a Professor and NH&MRC Senior Principal Research Fellow in the Discipline of Pharmacology at The University of Sydney, the Leader of the Cells Group within the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, and is an Associate Physician in the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She was one of the late Professor Temple's first PhD students.

Room 230 in the Blackburn Building (New Medical School), University of Sydney, where ANZAAS has its committee meetings, has been named the Diana Temple Room in her honour.
